Kansas Bluestem Kaua'a Hali'a is an extremely angular and long daughter of one of our favorite two-year old milkers, Kansas Bluestem JustAnEpiphany. We've limited ourselves to retaining no more than ten doe kids this year or Hali'a would definitely be staying.
Her dam, Epiphany has stood at the front of the line in her age classes in all the shows we've taken her to, expect one where she stood second behind her paternal sister. Regularly complimented on her overall balance, mammary capacity and pliability of skin, we know Epiphany will finish her championship when mature. We expect nothing less for Hali'a. Epiphany is on track to earn her milk star in all three categories this lactation, which will make her a 10*M. Both her dam line and sire line genetics are longstanding, productive and stylish animals.
Hali'a sire, Kansas Bluestem Kalua Pua'a, has improved overall area of mammary attachment on his milking daughters (residing in the Wisdom Acres herd near Chester, AR). He's added upstandingness and improved dairyness in his progeny here in our herd (none yet milking).
Hali'a's littermate sister is staying put and will be working in our herd. Take the opportunity to add Hali'a to your herd while the chance exists, before we decide to break our retained kid limit rule.

Kansas Bluestem Clever Bonfire was pulled from our keeper list because we're over our self-imposed annual limit of ten keeper doe kids... it's so tempting to break our own rules to retain her. Take the opportunity to add Bonnie to your herd while the chance exists, before we decide breaking the rules is ok.
Bonnie should freshen with a beautiful mammary system. Her dam's, although she freshened unevenly, was soft, supple and balanced front to rear. Her dam's dam, Camelot Cattle Co Cinder, received an excellent mammary appraisal in her third freshening. Sadly, we lost Cinder later that lactation, so never go to see what she could truly do. We know the genetics are behind Bonfire though!
The cross between Parade Spark and Thidwick, created a linebreeding on an excellent udder buck, Camelot Cattle Co Oliver Wood. We know that he will not only add great udder genetics, but also dairy strength to Bonfire. Where Spark was very dairy, with supple and stretchy skin... Thidwick is equally as dairy but several times stronger in his frame and stance. Wherever Bonfire lands, we hope you'll stay in touch so we can see her mature!

We are offering ZarZar for sale as she does not fit our size preferences. She is a very well put together doe, with an exceptional pedigree, but we simply have too many animals to continue retaining additional lines in hopes of “morphing them” into something we like.
Our favorite traits of ZarZar include strength of topline and rear leg set, plus a very personably and sweet personality. We expect her to be exceptionally milky for her size, and she’ll be an excellent addition to any homestead herd.

Pig is the best offspring we could possibly have bred for out of his dam, Redwood Hills Event Mardi Gras. While we never retained a daughter from Evie, that’s not for lack of trying, and we eventually sold her due to her pushy attitude and to keep numbers in check, since we have Pig available to continue her genetics… but we’ll have PLENTY of daughters from him in Spring of 2027, so he’s available to a new herd once he’s done his duties as a buck this fall and we have him in the semen tank. We expect him to be available to leave in early November, once all his does for this fall are confirmed bred.
Pig’s lineage goes back twice to one of our all-time favorite does, Redwood Hills Atlas Carnival. Carnival is his SSD and his DDD. Then, we pick up another favorite doe, DKGH Rockin’ Eve as his DSD. To say his lineage is packed with powerhouse genetics with a size, style and productivity we love is an understatement. So far, his daughters are extremely stylish, exuding plenty of dairy strength and matching his upstanding stance. We expect to see them have improved udder support over their dam’s udders, but have some time yet to wait for that.

Edison is G6S normal buckling out of our dearly loved Ethel. He fit a special role in our breeding program, being an Ethel son who was also AS1C N/N, but he’s ready to move on now. Ethel is, and has always been, one of the best producers in the barn. Her size and style are exactly what we like. While her rear udder isn’t the strongest, her foreudder and udder texture are fantastic. We’d love to see those traits develop in Edison’s daughters. We’re confident that his sire, Puno, will add improvements on the rear udder height and overall udder support without sacrificing production.
While Eddie held a specific piece of our breeding puzzle, it wasn’t a large one. We have enough daughters of his planned/expected that we’re willing to let him move on now. He would be an excellent starter buck for a new herd. Eddie is extremely easy going and gentle!
