Though we were not in the market for does to bring in to the herd, when Michelle contacted us and offered the opportunity to purchase Mystique (and Harley) we couldn’t say no. Mystique is the style of goat we love- upstanding, excellent dairy strength, strong will to milk, beautiful and capacious udder with excellent texture… we could keep going, but you get the idea.

Mystique missed out on making the top ten list by a very small margin in her third lactation. I have completed confidence that the genetic link for high production is there and she will pass it on with the right buck crosses. We had already added a daughter to the herd, back in 2023, Camelot Cattle Co Mandisa. We have several Mystique granddaughters through Mandisa, and look forward to furthering Mystique’s genetics in our herd through daughters and sons in the coming years.

2026- Mystique was a hard one to catch in heat, but we finally saw one in October. She was bred to Cozy Meadow Maximum Chrome, in hopes of lots of pink… but Mystique had other ideas and delivered a large single buckling for us on March 17th. The labor was easy and quick, and Mystique did a great job with delivery. The buckling will be working as a herdsire in south central Kansas for a few years, and we hope he returns to us eventually.
