Flame is a very special doe to us, being the only daughter we have left of her amazing dam, Cinder. She is so much like Cinder in so many ways, even down to the beautifully shaped, and productive mammary. We’re confident that Flame will appraise well in the Mammary final category, should we ever get the opportunity to have her scored.
Flame isn’t a very large doe, standing just tall enough to meet the Nubian minimum height standard. She excels in body capacity and spring of rib, in addition to her mammary system. We hope to breed her to increase stature and improve dairy strength in her offspring.

DHI Records
Flame missed her milk star on her yearling lactation and just didn’t milk with the volume we expected of her. She came on strong in her second lactation, and looked like she’d hit all three categories, but then we decided to breed her to freshen in January, instead of completing a full 305-day lactation. She will meet the protein and butterfat benchmarks, but will likely fall short of volume as a second freshener. This makes her 2*M, pending, and we took the liberty of just listing it with her name. Click here and input Animal ID NUUSA2374670 (make sure the “GOAT” selection is toggled) to pull up her CDCB Query and see additional data.

Udder Photos
We’re (admittedly) not the most skilled at clipping and photographing udders. Please accept our apologies for the lack of skill in these areas, and know that we provide you with the best we’re capable of giving. If at any time you want current udder photos of a doe, just contact us.

Breeding & Kidding @ Bluestem Acres
2025- Ducky was bred to Cozy Meadow Maximum Chrome for her first freshening. She delivered beautiful twin doelings on her due date with zero assistance. We (regretfully, now) decided to offer both for sale, knowing we could repeat the breeding. Ducky milked excellently as a yearling milker. She maintained her weight well, and was consistently at the front of the line in her classes. She appraised as an 82, at just one month into her lactation, with great comments of potential from the appraiser. We dried Ducky off shy of 305 days in milk in order to have her kid with our January group in 2026.
2026- Ducky was again bred to Cozy Meadow Maximum Chrome, in hopes that she’d give us more beautiful doelings. Unfortunately, all she had was a gigantic single buckling- weighing almost 9.5lbs! Labor was not as easy this time around, and her buckling had his head down and back, and his front legs over the top of his neck. After 1.5 hours of working to get him out, we were thrilled he was born alive and well. Both Ducky and “Goose” recovered from the traumatic birth. Ducky again milked beautifully and will easily hit 2200 pounds of milk this lactation, if not more.
2027- Ducky has been bred (again) to Cozy Meadow Maximum Chrome for January 2027 kids. First doeling will be retained. First buckling has a waitlist in place and reservations will open once the breeding has been confirmed.
