Lulu is the result of an accidental breeding between paternal siblings, that actually took us some time to figure out. However, she’s a beautiful girl with a nice and capacious mammary system that’s easy to milk. Lulu has great substance of bone and nice length to her bone pattern. We’d like to see a bit more openness to hir ribbing, and elasticity to her skin, thus increasing her dairy character. We expect that her body depth and mammary capacity will continue to increase with maturity.

Breeding & Kidding @ Bluestem Acres

2026- Lulu was bred to Wingwood Farm TAK Abraxas Ale for her first freshening. She delivered two beautiful kids, a buck and a doe, on January 8, 2026, two days past her dur date. The buckling was large and she had some trouble delivering him on her own, despite a correct presentation. The doe kid came quickly once the buckling was out of the way. The buckling was sold to be a 4-H wether, as we didn’t know if Lulu would prove to be of good enough quality to be the dam of a herdsire. We will offer her bucklings with registration in her future freshenings. The doeling was retained in our own herd, but we tragically lost her to pneumonia in March. Lulu had met all of the requirements to ear her milk star by the time of our August milk test (approximately 200 DIM). We’re really looking forward to seeing her continue to mature.

2027- Lulu has been bred to Kansas Bluestem MS Edison for January 2027 kids. First doeling will be retained. Bucklings are offered as dairy wethers or as herdsires.
