Cozy Meadow Maximum Chrome as a yearling buck.

AS1C A/B G6S Normal

We purchased Chrome from Deb Boller of Cozy Meadow Nubians in Reece, KS. We first discovered Deb’s herd when we bought some of our first does, Mimi and Maybelline, who were both bred to a buck from her breedings. The resulting daughter we retained from Mimi, Rocking Goat Farms LuckyClover, ended up being one of our best producers. So, we hunted down similar genetics to Clover’s sire and landed on Cozy Meadow Maximum Chrome. Chrome has huge potential to add a lot of milk to our does as his pedigree is packed full of Goddard Farm and Six M Galaxy goats. We’re very excited for his first kid crop to arrive in 2025!

Chrome’s dam and sire are not proven in performance programs, but almost all the other goats in her 4-generation pedigree have production and/or type awards. Multiple animals have appraisal scores at or near 90, some not being appraised until they were aged. Additionally, half of them boast a superior genetics designation!

Chrome’s sire’s sire, Linn Farm’s Magi’s Maxim, is probably the most well-known goat in Chrome’s pedigree. Maxim is also Chrome’s DDDS. Maxim is a multi-time ELITE buck, showing up in the 99th percentile every year since 2019. Maxim has five daughters with their superior genetics designation, and will likely have more earn it in the future. He appraised at 91, at the age of seven, before passing away about a year later. We’re very glad to have some Maxim blood in our herd and hope it brings with it the production we expect.
