Fern is a doe we sold as a kid to a homestead a little over an hour away. They owned her for about three years, before needing a break from dairy goats… so she came home in May of 2025. While we had a love-hate relationship with Fern’s dam, Fantasy, we are thrilled to have Fern working in our herd. She’s a tall doe, with that much desired silver roan color, but her qualities don’t end there. Fern is easy to milk, with large teats and giant orifices, and has the patience of a saint. She’s been a competitive 4-H doe for her previous owners, but we expect she has what it takes to be competitive at higher levels, too.
