Karisma joined us not long after her first freshening. The move was rough on her and we certainly didn’t see her full potential that lactation. Karisma bounced back well and we AI her in the fall of 2025, knowing she had more to give than she showed us her first lactation. Her second lactation has proven to show the production and udder we expected.

We love the strength of bone combined with her open and angular frame. She has a very well balanced shoulder and a long, flat rump. We are very excited to have her in our herd!

Breeding & Kidding @ Bluestem Acres

2026- Karisma was LapAI’d to Lakeshore Full Throttle at SEK Genetics. She delivered two buck, one doe triplets on her due date. The first buckling was quite large but perfectly positioned. Once he was out of the way, the other two came quickly. We retained the doe kid, Kansas Bluestem Unchecked Sass. Both bucklings sold to herds in Oklahoma. Karisma’s lactation started very strong, but she was sorely affected by the triplet digit temperature of Kansas in mid-summer. She’s still milking strong enough that she should earn her milk star in all three categories before being dried off.

2027- We bred Karisma in early August 2026 to Cozy Meadow Maximum Chrome. The hope with this cross is to keep the milkiness, but add some robust/heat resistance to her genetics, as Chrome is not bothered at all by the super hot Kansas weather. We also hope to improve Karisma’s foreudder attachment with this cross, as that’s an area that her udder needs improvement.
